Patrick Jouin

Patrick Jouin was born in Nantes in 1967 and graduated in industrial design from ENSCI-Les Ateliers in Paris in 1992. After working for Thomson Multimedia under the art direction of Philippe Starck, he joined Starck’s Paris studio in 1995 and went on to found his own.

Named Designer of the Year by Maison & Objet in 2003, he works from product design to interiors, from restaurants with Alain Ducasse to luxury projects as a partner in Jouin Manku. For Listone Giordano he designed Trame, an oak floor whose fine surface engravings give the wood a sense of movement.
