Listone Giordano is the wood flooring brand of the Margaritelli family, in business since 1870 and based among the vineyards of Torgiano in Umbria. In 1984 the wood scientist Guglielmo Giordano patented the multilayer plank that bears his name, more stable and precise than traditional parquet.
Since 1962 the Margaritelli plant at Fontaines in Burgundy has handled forest management and the first processing of oak, and in Umbria the company has planted more than 22,000 oaks, with FSC and PEFC certification. In 2008 it launched Natural Genius, asking architects and designers to rethink the wood floor.
