Partnering with Poliform on her wardrobe Megan Morton has effectively created her dream boudoir. It is a place of control and creativity in equal measure.
“It’s intuitive, it’s magical,” she says describing her home. “It’s a hospice for tired eyes, working hands and expanded minds,” she adds wistfully.
“At the beginning of our occupancy I imagined our house was bright and cheery,” says Megan. “But on deeper inspection, I discovered it was a dark and moody. So I decided to use its best assets. Assets that others would try to turn down. And I turned those facets up.”
“Now my home is a place where there is a distinct harmony to the atmospheres. It is kind of dark, but decidedly so, and it is all geared toward analogue pursuits, like playing records, reading books and for conversations while entertaining friends,” Megan says.
When choosing a Poliform robe for her large French inspired room, Megan says she wanted to contain the cacophony of colours behind a neat white run. Effectively secreting her vast collection of vintage gowns, maxi, skirts, vintage silk scarfs and accessories, Megan has chosen to store and organise them behind a white, calm and understated exterior.
