Roberto Lazzeroni

Roberto Lazzeroni was born in Pisa, the town where he has chosen to live and work. He studied Art and Architecture in Florence. From the beginning he has always shown an interest in both the phenomena of the world of conceptual art and the ones of radical design. In the early 80’s his focus was on industrial and interior design, a specialisation which he defines as fundamental following the rise of industrial products.
A fine connoisseur of the history of design and its related signs, he incorporates this into his practice. Lazzeroni uses the expression “sentimental” in relation to his own design: it is obvious even for an untrained eye to see the relationship between past and future in his works. Lazzeroni’s background and his way to understand design have led him to specialise in Art Direction, where he is responsible for every aspect linked to the birth and development of a project.
His work has been exhibited around the world including the Conran Foundation Museum in London in 1992, Elegant Tecniques in Chicago in 1992, La Fabbrica Estetica in Paris in 1993 and Costruire Il Mobile in Milan in 1999.
