Born in 1955, Mario Mazzer graduated from the Politecnico in Milan in 1978 with a degree in Architecture and then furthered his studies with a course in Industrial Design at the Scuola Politecnica of Design in Milan. Upon graduating, he opened his own studio in Conegliano Veneto, Italy where he started to develop his own signature style. He has worked across a range of different sectors including architecture, interior design and industrial design.
Mazzer is active in contributing to the cultural debate about design and has taken part in many conventions and conferences. He has received several prestigious awards including the “Young & Design” prize in 1991. His work has been exhibited extensively at art and design exhibitions in Paris, Milan, Genova and Budapest and in 1996 he got an honourable mention from the American magazine ""ID Annual Design Review"". In 2001 he published a monograph entitled Thinking About Things: Mario Mazzer Designer. As an architect, he has developed projects and has restored residential, commercial and directional buildings, in both Italy and abroad.
