Born in Milan in 1957, Karim Azzabi graduated in psychology in London, then in design and architecture in Milan. Today he works in industrial design, collaborating with furniture companies such as Edra, Poliform and the Sintesi Group, in the field of technology, product design for Lavazza and lighting design for Artemide. He is a global image consultant for many Italian and international companies. In 1995, he founded Design Network, a Milan-based studio which concentrates on exhibit design. He also planned and produced the set for the launch of the Lavazza calendars from 1999 to 2006. His most recent projects include the refurbishment of the Mercati Generali in Milan and the design of the world’s tallest hotel and museum of desert culture in Qatar.
