Giampiero Peia was born in 1961 in Lodi, Italy, and studied Architecture in Milan. Between 1987 and 1994 he was a close collaborator and partner of the Ignazio Gardella. In 1995 he created the Peia Associati studio in Milan, designing innovative architectural and industrial design solutions. He won numerous architecture competitions and undertook a range of projects including coporate headquarters, concept stores and the restoration of public areas. He also worked on events and exhibitions such as the Andy Warhol show at the Triennale of Milan in 2004.
Between 2004 and 2006, Peia partnered with Piero Lissoni and worked on residential towers and commercial buildings in Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur, residential buildings in Milan and tourist complexes on the Lake Maggiore. Further projects include private villas, luxury apartments and design hotels.
