This traditional inner-city terrace in the Sydney suburb of Annandale has been turned from a narrow old butcher's shop and terrace into a bright, connected and open plan home for a growing family.
The clients worked with their architect to replan the flow and connections between the inner spaces, resulting in a design that made the kitchen the centre of the home. In a property that is only 5 metres wide, Poliform created a kitchen that maximimised the space available.
With clever planning from the Poliform team, the kitchen was created to become a hub for the home, an open plan living space incorporating storage, a study area for the children, and room to entertain.
Based around a central island bench, the kitchen surfaces blend and layer finishes including high gloss lacquers and textured dark pine melamine, and uses a Poliform Wall System to make the most of the space.
